Purchasing Assistant/New Order Quality Coordinator
Position Purpose
- Assist purchasing manager with purchasing responsibilities as assigned
- Perform initial quality review of new orders
Job Responsibilities
- Assist purchasing manager with purchasing tasks as assigned; May include seeking out new suppliers to locate difficult to find materials, following up on existing orders, assisting with paperwork, coordinating with shipping/receiving department, and other tasks at the direction of the purchasing manager
- Perform initial quality review of job packet and all materials; Verify that all routers, prints, CAD and other supplied information are consistent and are properly communicated to ensure order success
- Balloon/number customer prints for inspection purposes
- Assist order entry with proper organization and distribution of job and purchasing materials
Knowledge or Skills Required
- As this position requires initial quality reviews of new jobs, a minimum of 1-year Quality Control background is REQUIRED
- Ability to read blueprints
- Excellent computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) skills
- Purchasing experience is a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
