2D and 3D Laser Internship
Highly skilled technical position, requiring the ability to make fast and accurate decisions relating to the production process and multi-axis laser cutting equipment. A good understanding of materials, tolerances and 6-axis laser cutting techniques, is required for this position.
Tube Fabrication
Ultimately, responsible to perform all aspects of tube laser operation, maintenance, programming, and process improvements. Is responsible for metal fabrication using tube laser cutting machinery. This position requires the ability to make fast and accurate decisions relating to the production process and equipment. A good understanding of the details of the product to be manufactured that would include size, tolerance and use, is required for this position.
Prototype Technician
Is responsible for assisting in the development of parts from start to finish using deep draw stamping fundamentals, while setting up dies in presses, operating the presses and doing in process inspections.
CAD Internship
This is a progressive learning position and is responsible to support the manufacturing team by setting up jobs, including the verification of customer provided design CAD to prints, creating prototype component and assembly prints, engineering documentation, and process improvement. This position will also require time spent on the floor in manufacturing learning machinery and developing partnerships with technicians. We believe at Technique to be successful in any engineering role the employee must first understand the complexity of machining.
The position will report to the Engineering Manager and/or Sr. Technician. The CAD Intern will help facilitate collaboration between the account managers, tool designers, and prototype technician team to translate completed job folders material to manufacturing process.
You will be expected to support the production team through the part print phases required to bring components and assemblies from concept to production. You will spend time on the technical side of manufacturing and learning machining process to enhance your skill set in engineering. Additionally, you must have an ability to review and modify product drawings in CAD incorporating compliance with industry accepted GD&T methodology; this includes assembled parts and fixtures. You may be asked to support the facility by performing other duties as required or requested.
